When Wyatt McGuire reflects back on his high school cross country career, the North Platte senior will find plenty of highlights. McGuire capped off what was already a stellar four years at the 2013 Nebraska State Cross Country Championships on Friday with a gold medal performance, not only in Class A but also as the all-class champion.

Back in early September a Class B State Cross Country Championship for York sophomore Erin Lee seemed a million miles away. You might say she was more worried about her state of health and if she would even run at all again this year after the heat stroke scare in Albion near the start of the season.
