Broncos in action at Milford
The Centennial Broncos won eight events on Tuesday at the Milford Invite and tied the host Eagles for the team title with 144 points. The Centennial girls were fourth with 68 points. Winning the girls portion was Wahoo with 157.33, second was Raymond Central with 89.33 and third went to Milford with 68.33.

High Plains fourth, Cross County fifth
The Nebraska Christian girls track team scored 95 points in the running events alone to blow past the rest of the field at the High Plains Invite on Wednesday.

Heartland plays host to track invitational
Alex Preslicka and Tyler Brown notched a win each for their teams in Tuesday's Heartland Invitational. Preslicka won the long jump for McCool Junction with a best effort of 19-11 . For Brown of the host Huskies it was first in the 100-meter dash with a clocking of 11.3 ticks of the stopwatch.

Heartland and Exeter-Milligan had one winner each on the girls' side of Tuesday's Heartland Invitational track meet. Maitlyn Thomsen of E-M won the long jump soaring 16-1 and for Heartland's Eve Vanderneck it was a winning toss of 33-5 in the shot put.

Usually the fifth player on a golf team does not have his score come into play. That changed for the Fillmore Central Panthers and the Thayer Central Titans on Tuesday, when they completed play all tied with 355 strokes each.

The Osceola track and field meet originally scheduled for Friday, April 4, was held this past Friday instead. The High Plains Storm and the Nebraska Lutheran Knights represented YNT area teams in the competition.

York scores three OT goals for 4-1 soccer win
The York Dukes scored their first goal against the Lakeview Vikings just seven minutes into the game. Not until overtime would the Dukes light the scoreboard again, and when they did it was three times in a 4-1 win over the Lakeview Vikings.

Duke golfers win by a whisker
York senior Leighton Thomas fired a 35 at the Seward Country Club on Thursday, leading the Dukes to a one-stroke win over the host Seward Bluejays 175-176.

York tops Lakeview in key league soccer game
After a first half that saw both the Lakeview Vikings and York Dukes miss on several scoring chances, the second half proved to be an offensive explosion in prep soccer.

Dukes win third straight York Invite
The York girls were on their game in winning Thursday's home tennis invitational. Coach Josh Miller's Dukes won three of four brackets and took second in the fourth against Elkhorn, Adams Central, Crete, Beatrice and St. Cecilia.

Roy Horner Invite played in Friend
The winds kicked up early on Wednesday, and by the afternoon the early morning chill was just a distant memory. The temperature soared into the 80s and the Hastings St. Cecilia Bluehawks finished one stroke better than the Fillmore Central Panthers at the Roy Horner Invite at the Friend Country Club.

Osceola hosts Scramble
The Osceola Bulldogs hosted two-man scramble action on Wednesday at the Ryan Hills Golf Course. The competition was broken down into three divisions and each school had at least one team in each.

Sterling boys “Jet” to Meridian Title
The Sterling Jets captured six titles at the Meridian Invite on Wednesday and pulled away from second place McCool Junction for a 36 point win, 115-79.
